Stewards

A Steward is a person of piety that has an understanding of the doctrines of our church and has a sincere desire to promote the spiritual growth of the membership. The Pastor in Charge nominates the Stewards and the Quarterly Conference has the authority to confirm or reject each nomination. The Board of Stewards may consist of not less than three persons. There are presently fourteen persons that comprise our Steward Board.

The duties and responsibilities of the Stewards include: (a) to receive and make an exact account of all funds for the support of the church’s ministry; (b) provide a parsonage or make other housing arrangements for the pastor and the pastor’s family; (c) to provide relief for members in need; and (d) assist the minister to promote and encourage spiritual growth of all members of this society.
