Preacher's Steward
A Preacher’s Steward is a person having the same qualities and
qualifications as any other steward. The Pastor in Charge nominates the Preacher’s
Steward and the Quarterly Conference has the authority to confirm and reject the nominee.
The duties of the Preacher’s Steward include: (a) to supervise the
provision for the temporal support of the Pastor in Charge; (b) serve as chairman of the
Steward Board; (c) provide the elements for the Lord’s Supper and for the Love Feast;
and (d) to meet with the Class Leaders and Stewardess to be informed as to the comfort or
necessities of the Pastor and his family.
