Class Leader

A Class Leader is a person of sound judgment and devoted to God. A Class Leader is a person that is sensitive to the needs of others and is willing to expend their resources to promote the general welfare of all members of the Church. A Class Leader is nominated by the Pastor in Charge and elected by a majority of the members present at the Quarterly Conference.

The duties of a Class Leader include: (a) attending Class Leader meetings; (b) visiting members that are absent; (c) assist in the collection of the Connectional Claims; (d) visit the sick and report to the Pastor the conditions of all members on her/his class; (e) assist the Pastor in Charge, administer to the needs of the members of the church; and (f) the Class Leaders Quarterly Report shall be made on the form approved by the 44th Quadrennial Session of the General Conference of the A. M. E. Zion Church.
