Pastor and Wife

Reverend Milton A. Williams and Sister Sunne N. Williams

The Psalmist tells us in scripture, "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands, Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting and his truth endureth to all generations."

Truly the Lord is good, for he has blessed my wife and me with this most wonderful opportunity to serve his people in this portion of the vineyard. We are humbled by God's favor as he has allowed us to share in the work of Kingdom building.

Truly the Lord is merciful, for he has ordered our steps to the awesome charge of leadership at the great Shrewsbury Avenue African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, "The Mother Church of the New Jersey Conference." This historic church has a rich tradition and a proud heritage that has endured many generations. We have been received with open arms and loving hears into this fellowship and look forward to sharing in this awesome legacy for many years to come.

Truly the Lord is truthful, for he said in his Word, "He would never leave us, nor forsake us." We know that the Lord will be with us as we endeavor to do his work. We expect to be challenged and tried, but we know he will always be present to guide and protect us. We expect difficulty and tribulation, but we know he will be near and see us through.

Therefore, we will make a joyful noise unto the Lord and we will serve the Lord with gladness. We will enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise, as we bless his holy name. We are anticipating a bountiful harvest in the Kingdom of God, a harvest that will yield love, peace, joy, and happiness. We are expecting a harvest that will invigorate our church and impact our community. We are looking forward to a harvest worthy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  In His Service,
Reverend & Mrs. Ronald P. McDougal
